| ==Appearance==
| |
| Technicians wear black suits with red-colored stripes on it; their head are covered by a helmet, along with a gas mask with red goggles to cover their face.
| |
| | |
| ==Function==
| |
| Technician is unique on [[Nod]] as he is the only [[Nod Infantry]] that carries an [[Advanced Repair Gun]], 2 [[Remote C4]], 2 [[Timed C4]] and 3 [[Proximity C4]]. Technicians are considered as an upgrade of [[Engineer]]s on Nod side, and direct counterparts of GDI's [[Hotwire]].
| |
| | |
| ==Strategy==
| |
| ===Usage===
| |
| A Technician is also a necessity against any enemy team rush and infiltrations. Being the only [[Nod Infantry]] to have an [[Advanced Repair Gun]], he is vital against vehicle rushes. His repairing power on a [[Master Control Terminal]] should not be underestimated. A group of 3 or 4 Technicians can keep a building alive against most vehicle rushes.
| |
| | |
| A Technician is also the only Nod class able to plant mines. Technicians that use [[Proximity C4]] need to take account of the tactics of using the mines, as wrong and overabundant placement can lead to heavily defenseless base.
| |
| | |
| ===Counter===
| |
| Any strategy against [[Engineer]] will work against Technicians. However, Technicians have more C4s in total, making them lethal inside your perimeter. Technicians are also stronger than the regular Engineer, possessing a higher caliber pistol sidearm compared to the former. Be wary of any [[Proximity C4]] they plant and they can disarm them much faster. The only warning you will get if a Technician infiltrates a building is the decrement of mines in the counter. A good Technician detonates all their C4s at roughly the same time, causing the building to blow up straight from 100% to 0%.
| |
| | |
| Vehicles should keep their distance from Technicians as their C4 supply is enough to destroy most healthy but unsupported tanks.
| |
| | |
| When repelling a tank assault, Technicians will need to be taken out first, since they repair friendlies quickly and can sustain a tank through a lot of punishments. Most tanks are piloted by Technicians for this capability.
