The Mantis T-AR 2 Tiberium Automatic Rifle is Mendoza's main weapon.
Appearance
The Tiberium Automatic Rifle is a modified rifle, having four liquid Tiberium canisters and a large handle on top to carry it when not employed. Clips are inserted into the magazine section of the rifle.
Function
The Tiberium Automatic Rifle rapidly fires shards of blue Tiberium. It is mostly effective against infantries, having reasonable damage output and excellent rate of fire, and the ability to be "sprayed and prayed". It does little damage to vehicles and buildings. However, it has a short range and no zoom lens.
The Tiberium Automatic Rifle has an alternate fire mode where it fires concentrated liquid Tiberium slugs that splash upon impact. This fire mode is more effective against vehicles and buildings, albeit the splash damage may help in hitting infantries. Still, its damage is mediocre at the best, being eclipsed by the Laser Chaingun and the Volt Automatic Rifle.
Tiberium will intoxicate infantries for periodical damage and bypass any kind of armor reduction.
Trivia
Mendoza's Tiberium Automatic Rifle combines the old Tiberium Flechette and the old Tiberium Automatic Rifle into a single weapon.
