The Flame Tank is a heavy Vehicle of the Brotherhood of Nod.

Armaments
Flame Tank is equipped with two flamethrowers with constant supply of fuel. It takes 40 seconds for a single Flame Tank to bring down a building.
Function
The Flame Tank is the unit with highest damage per second against vehicles and buildings in game. This makes it a very strong offensive unit if used properly. It can also be used effectively as defense against Medium Tank rushes and infantry. It is the only unit in game that does not need to reload its weapon.
Strategy
Usage
The low range of the Flame Tank and its average speed make it difficult to use this tank to its full potential. Flame Tank is best used on small maps with a lot of cover, where it can ambush GDI tanks from behind a corner. If you know how to use it properly, it works great against all enemy vehicles on most maps. This vehicle often needs support of a Technician, because it takes a lot of damage during the fight.
Amassing a few Flame Tanks and rushing the enemy base (also known as the flame rush) is a common tactic for Nod. The problem is that such rushes are usually noticed and called out early so that GDI has time to prepare for them. A flame rush works best when GDI is weakened (a building down or having no tanks), so that the defenders are unable to fend it off even if they know that it's coming. Normally Stealth Tank rushes work better because of the surprise factor.
Flame Tank is also a very good unit for defending against GDI rushes. Often a single Flame Tank can block the whole rush in a tight spot.
On the All Out War game mode, Flame Tanks often bring more trouble than benefit to Nod. Inexperienced players tend to lose their Flame Tanks easily (usually by rushing enemy lines), which gives a lot of points away to GDI.
Counters
It is best to outrange the Flame Tank. On open maps it is easily done by the cheap MRLS or Gunners. The more expensive Sydneys and Medium Tanks work good on all maps, although it is important to keep the distance from a Flame Tank at all times.
Orcas work great on flying maps, because you can safely fly above the Flame Tank and shoot it.
