Appearance

Somewhere in the desert, there is a Tiberium field surrounded by rock formations. Both bases and the central field are divided by rock formations.

In-depth Analysis

Infantry paths: Each exterior vehicle path has a short cave tunnel leading to the central field.

Vehicle paths: Vehicles can leave their respective bases from three paths: all of them lead to the central field, the middle one is more direct since it goes through the rock formation, while the right and left ones circumvent the rock formation.

Mystery Crates: The only one appears in the middle of the Tiberium field.

Harvested Tiberium field: each faction harvests the field in the center of the map.

Strategy

Battlefield control

Gobi is a small map, and infantry and vehicles will clash often in the middle. By taking control of the middle of the map, the team can destroy the enemy Harvester while protecting their, and pressure the enemy base from any of the three routes, along with watching for any incoming enemy infiltrators.

A joint attack from all three paths might prove more successful than a siege from a single route.

Sneaking options

Being a small map and basically devoid of cover, sneaking into the enemy base in a match with many players will be nigh impossible from the main paths. The best option would be employing the small infantry paths for cover and hiding behind rocks and cactuses when in the middle section of the map.

Hiding inside the enemy base without cover apart from the buildings themselves will be hard. Best cover present in the base is the metal panel formation in front of each base. Players may also try to hide behind cactuses located on the edges of each base as last resort.
