Credits are the main form of currency in Renegade X.

Overview

Most in-game units and items require you to own a certain amount of Credits before you can buy them. Credits will be gained automatically by keeping your Tiberium Refinery or Tiberium Silo alive, or by capturing a Silo. A destroyed Tiberium Refinery or Tiberium Silo greatly reduces the amount of Credits you can earn this way.

Credits can however also be earned. If a certain player earns points, he/she will earn Credits by a 1:1 ratio. Therefore, actively participating in the game is important to be able to make many purchases more quickly. Do however note that certain activities earn more Credits, and therefore Points, than other. In general, it is safe to say that attack earns more than defence.

Fpr example:

  • If you wanted to buy a Mammoth tank worth 1500 Credits while doing nothing with a functional Tiberium Refinery, but no Harvester docking, you would need to wait 12,5 minutes before you can make the purchase, as only 2 Credits per second is earned.
  • If you wanted to buy a Mammoth tank worth 1500 Credits while doing nothing, But a Harvester would dock once that earns you 300 Credits, you would need to wait only 10 minutes before you can make the purchase, as you would only need to earn 1200 Credits with the 2 Credit income per second.
  • If you wanted to buy a Mammoth tank worth 1500 Credits while doing nothing, But a Harvester would dock once and your team has captured the Silo that earns you 0,5 Credits per second, you would need to wait only 8 minutes before you cam make the purchase, as the harvester earns you 300 Credits for free and 2,5 Credits per second is earned.
