Function

The Tactical Rifle fires high amounts of splash damaging bullets. It is a handy weapon against infantry, able to burn them or hit them with splash damage,and it can be "sprayed and prayed" over. It does mediocre damage on light armored vehicles, little damage to heavy armored vehicles or buildings. Even on the Master Control Terminal, its damage is mediocre.
