The Attack Cycle is a recon and interceptor Vehicle of the Brotherhood of Nod from Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun. It is an improved version of the previous Recon Bike. It is mainly obtained through Mystery Crates.
Appearance
The Attack Cycle is a small speed motorbike with red elements and the driver cockpit covered with red panels. It's armed with two small rocket launchers on its sides.
Damage Table
Base Damage | Headshot Multiplier | Kevlar Armor Multiplier | Flak Armor Multiplier | Lazarus Armor Multiplier | Heavy Armor Multiplier | Light Armor Multiplier | Aerial Armor Multiplier | Building Multiplier | MCT Multiplier |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
60 | x5 | x1 | x0.5 | x1 | x0.48 | x0.48 | x0.60 | x0.96 | x3.84 |
Full damage will be inflicted only if the target body is struck completely by the rocket.
Higher Veterancy ranks will increase the base damage by a specified multiplier.
Function
The Attack Cycle, armed with 6 Hydra-70 Rockets, can tackle on any kind of vehicle and lock-onto aerial vehicles, and hit the dust before the opponent can retaliate.
Strategy
Usage
Considering the rarity of "Tiberian Sun" vehicles, it is likely that each team only possesses one at time, so they should carefully protect it since they are usually better counterparts of the standard vehicles.
The Attack Cycle is used as a hit-and-run vehicle, going into the battlefield to finish off heavily damaged vehicles before retreating.
Against aerial vehicles, wait for the lock-on to target them before firing the rockets. Attack Cycles can also harass lonely and unsupported vehicles. They have the lowest health among all vehicles, so they should never be exposed to enemy forces for long.
The Attack Cycle has only one seat, so it cannot carry any passengers; in addition, it offers about no cover to Engineers repairing it because of its small size.
On the map Toxicity the bases on both GDI and Nod have some free Attack Cycles.
Counters
The Attack Cycle is small, so chances of getting rammed by it are low, yet its size makes it hard to hit.
Still, the Attack Cycle is lightly armored and it has only 200 point of health, thus making it vulnerable to most attacks, even machine guns. Two shots from Sydney/Raveshaw's main weapon will pulverize it; Sniper Rifle or Ramjet Rifle shots will damage it considerably; Missiles, flamethrowers, and tiberium based weapons will also make short work of it. Since Attack Cycles are usually moving around, try to aim at the spot where they would go next.
Also, a Remote C4 explosion is all that it takes to destroy the Attack Cycle, should a Engineer be able to successfully attach one on it.
Trivia
- The Attack Cycle is the smallest vehicle in the game, able to fit into the ramps on the aerial versions of Buildings.
