The Marksman Rifle is the primary weapon for both Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod's Marksmen.

Appearance

The Marksman Rifle appears as a modified rifle featuring a long barrel and a scope connected with an ammunition round counter mounted on top of the rifle. Clips are loaded into a black box-shaped object under the rifle.

Full damage will be inflicted only if the target body is struck completely by the bullet. Higher veterancy ranks will increase the base damage by a specified multiplier.

Function

The Marksman Rifle can fire several bullets at long distances. It is considered the weakest sniping weapon in the game, with its bullets subject to Kevlar armor damage reduction. It can be still employed to confront snipers and other infantry, if the wielder is skilled enough. It does basically no damage to vehicles or buildings. Even on the Master Control Terminal, its damage is rather low.
